State Street Global Advisors Appoints Head of Core Beta Research Team in London

State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), the asset management business of State Street Corporation, announced the appointment of Julian Harding as managing director and global head of core beta research.

State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), the asset management business of State Street Corporation, announced the appointment of Julian Harding as managing director and global head of core beta research. Based in London, Julian will report to Richard Hannam, EMEA head of global equity beta solutions at SSGA.

Harding has more than 20 years of professional experience in managing equity and fixed income, derivative and currency portfolios. Prior to joining SSGA, Harding worked for Legal & General Investment Management, where he was director, responsible for the index equity and fixed income portfolio management teams. He has also held positions at First Quadrant, PwC and Prolific Objective Asset Management.

Commenting on the appointment, Hannam said, “we are delighted to welcome Julian to our team. His appointment brings a depth of knowledge which will further develop our offering in the equity indexing market.”
