Nomura appoints Michiel Post as Head of Investment Banking, Benelux

Nomura, Asia’s global investment bank, today announced that it has hired Michiel Post as Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking, Benelux.

Based in Amsterdam, Michiel will report to Charles Pitts-Tucker, Head of Investment Banking, EMEA. Michiel has over 20 years’ experience, working across M&A, equity capital markets and restructuring advisory.

Charles Pitts-Tucker said: “Michiel brings a wealth of expertise and local market knowledge to our franchise. His strong relationships with clients will be invaluable as we look to further enhance our Investment Banking business in the region.”

Michiel joins Nomura from ING in Amsterdam, where he spent five years as a Managing Director in the Corporate Finance business. Prior to this, Michiel worked in various roles at Lehman Brothers in Amsterdam, London and New York. He started his career at Schroders.

Michiel has an MSc. degree in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Bsc. in Business Administration from Nyenrode University.
