Lazard Frères Gestion: Two new appointments in Belgium

The Belgian branch of Lazard Frères Gestion continues to grow with the arrival of Rodolphe d’Ursel, joining as Head Officer, and Miguel Robyns de Schneidauer, joining as Sales Director.

François-Marc Durand, Managing Director of Lazard in charge of asset management business in France: “The arrival of this new management team will strengthen our presence in the Belgian market while continuing with our principle of providing European, and especially French-speaking, clients with know-how that has been tried and tested in France.”

Rodolphe d’Ursel is appointed Head Officer of Lazard Frères Gestion Belgium. His dual task will be to manage the Brussels team and to develop the client base of wealthy Belgian residents.

Rodolphe d’Ursel, 50, started his professional career in 1987. He successively held positions as advocate at the Brussels bar and first clerk in two notarial offices in Brussels.
In 1992 he began his banking career with CBC Banque et Assurances (KBC Group) as counsel in the legal, taxation and contentious lending department.
In 2000 he joined the HSBC Dewaay bank as senior counsel in charge of private client estate planning.
In 2005 he joined the wealth engineering department of the Belgian branch of BNP Paribas Wealth Management before his appointment in 2006 as head of the wealth engineering department and member of the Executive Committee. From 1 January 2010 he ran the France Desk of Société Générale Private Banking Belgium in charge of developing sales to UHNWI clients.
Rodolphe d’Ursel holds a double master’s degree in law and the profession of a notary from the Catholic University of Louvain.

Miguel Robyns de Schneidauer is appointed Sales Director of Lazard Frères Gestion Belgium.

Miguel Robyns de Schneidauer, 45, started his career in 1992 with Unilever and then with Novartis as senior key account manager.
In 2004 he joined BNP Paribas Wealth Management as senior private banker before being appointed director of the private banking centre at BNP Paribas Fortis Banque Privée.
From 2010 he was a private banker on the France Desk of Société Générale Private Banking. Miguel Robyns de Schneidauer is a graduate of the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Brussels.
