LPFA names Local Pension Board

The London Pensions Fund Authority (LPFA) announced today that it has completed the process of appointing all members to its Local Pension Board.

The Local Pension Board will assist LPFA in complying with Local Government Pension Scheme and other regulations; however, the LPFA’s main statutory Board remains the decision making body.

Chaired by William Bourne, the Local Pension Board comprises both member and employer representatives:

  • Charles Angus Omolayo Sokoya
  • Frank Smith Peter Scales
  • Sean Brosnan Simon Steptoe

Due to a strong response and the high quality of applicants, the LPFA has further appointed two more candidates as substitutes to the Local Pension Board:

  • Bernadette Jansen (substitute for the employer representative); and,
  • Jamie Ratcliff (substitute for the member representative). The substitute role will include all the duties of a Local Board Member, except for voting rights.

In due course, the LPFA Board may decide to extend the number of Local Pension Board members to include these substitutes as full members.

The first meeting of the LPFA Local Pension Board will take place on 6 July.
