Nomura ICG K.K. Announces New Office Opening in Otemachi, Tokyo

Nomura Holdings, Inc. (“Nomura”), Intermediate Capital Group plc (“ICG”) and Nomura ICG K.K. (“Nomura ICG”) have announced that Nomura ICG has moved into a new office located in Otemachi, Tokyo, on 12 May.

The new office is staffed with 6 professionals including 4 investment professionals from Nomura and ICG.

Nomura ICG is the Japanese fund management company specializing in mezzanine investment established in December last year as a 50:50 partnership between Nomura and ICG. It is currently managing c.JPY 20bn commitment through NICG Mezzanine Investment Business Limited Partnership I. Nomura ICG made a c.JPY 5bn mezzanine investment in April this year.

Nomura and ICG are intending to provide institutional investors with opportunities to invest in mezzanine debt through Nomura ICG. Nomura ICG intends to contribute to the further expansion of the mezzanine market in Japan by combining Nomura’s deep market coverage and relationships with ICG’s specialist knowledge on mezzanine investment.
