2015 was a record year for Lyxor, the European ETF pioneer, with net new assets of €8.9bn. These record inflows have strengthened Lyxor’s foothold as the third largest ETF provider in Europe with €48.3bn in total assets, and a growing market share of 10.7%. Furthermore, Lyxor retained its number two ranking for liquidity in the European ETF market, with one in every five Euros traded in ETFs being in a Lyxor fund (1).

At €5.9bn, the bulk of these inflows were on European equity exposures. Lyxor’s range of products on this particular asset class is the most diverse, with 89 ETFs and €24bn in assets. Lyxor maintained its leadership position on its flagship Euro Stoxx 50 ETF, which remained the biggest ETF in the world for this index (€7.225bn)2. Equally, Lyxor has some of the largest single country European ETFs such as the CAC 40 (€4.1bn), FTSE MIB (€1.2bn) and IBEX 35 (€980m) (1).

On the fixed income side, Lyxor ranked third in Europe for the year with assets at €9.6bn(1). With inflows of €2.7bn1, this asset class contributed significantly to Lyxor’s growth in 2015. The Smart Beta segment also gathered considerable inflows for Lyxor last year with €1bn in new assets(1).

In 2016, Lyxor will continue to reinforce its offering within fixed income and Smart Beta. Arnaud Llinas, Head of ETFs & Indexing at Lyxor said: “We are delighted with the growth in our assets as it clearly illustrates our strategy is resonating with investors: to offer a comprehensive range of the most efficient products for our clients. We will keep innovating in order to respond to the needs of our clients, and to help them adapt to the ongoing challenges posed by financial markets”.
