Unigestion began managing the $250 million CAD mandate in December 2015, utilising its unique risk-management approach to tackle the growing de-risking trend, prominent within the Canadian institutional investing space.

“It is great to introduce Saskatchewan WCB to our unique approach to risk-management and tailor a one-of-a-kind investment solution to cater to the organisation’s needs,” said Francis Chartier, Director, Institutional Clients at Unigestion. “Each of our client strategies are individually tailored, however our objective to lower the risk of long term investing remains constant as we aim to deliver quality results for our clients.”

Workers’ compensation insurance in Saskatchewan is a provincial responsibility and the Workers’ Compensation Board is legislated under the Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Act, 2013 to protect employers from lawsuits and deliver benefits to workers.

With the addition of Saskatchewan WCB, Unigestion holds and manages $1.9 billion CAD for its clients in Canada.
